The brief
The interior design firm, buying on behalf of a hotel operator, needed a rooftop bar furnished for an opening date fixed by the tourist season, and 24 bathrooms refitted on the floors below. Their first supplier had quoted cast concrete at 48 kg per side table; freight and the rooftop crane budget made that unworkable.
What we did
- Re-quoted the same forms in GFRC: 19 kg per side table, 11 kg per stool. Freight dropped from two 40HQ to one.
- Cast a trial batch to match the designer's two greys, approved on physical chips in six days.
- Produced a mock-up set (one table, one stool, one basin on a vanity top) and shipped it by air for sign-off in the model room.
- Phase 1, rooftop pieces, shipped at week 8 to meet the opening. Phase 2, bathrooms, shipped at week 12 as floors were handed over.
- Every vanity top was cut for the specified tap and waste, with a 1 mm rim flatness check recorded on the QC report.

What the client said
"The weight saving paid for the crane. The QC photo report meant our site manager signed off before the container left Vietnam."
